VENICE RESTORATION OF THE CLOCK TOWER

In the restoring the Clock Tower, designed by architect Codussi and constructed at the end of the XV century alongside St. Mark's Basilica, Gridiron's special grating with antique finish was used. This is a high quality product both for satisfying the most attentive customers and offering a regal appearence as well as excellent performance.

It is an innovative solution for use when restoring and renovating historic town centres and one that limits environmental impact and so retains the atmosphere, traditions and appeal of times gone by.

In detail, the grating panels used in this job were made to measure, with 30x2mm bearing bars, 10x2mm cross bars, and 25x25mm mesh pattern. They were embellished with a special chemical ageing process, followed by a coloured water paint finishing.

This process ensures the product will last a lifetime and at the same time it gives that particular burnished and slightly matt colour, typical of a natural oxydation process.
