TIRANA NEW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The new international "Mother Theresa" airport in Tirana is able to handle up to up to 1 million passengers a year.
The project was carried out with the involvement of professionals and companies from 41 countries contributing to building a modern and practical architectural structure that is one of a kind.
The services of Gridiron had initially concerned the supply of the perimetrical portion of the terminal cover. This was performed by using 6x1 grating panels which, thanks to cover's slope, creates a screen effect allowing filtered light from the sun.
Gridiron also supplied the special barriers installed between the runway ways and the terminal to protect it from the warm blast created by jet engines during take off.
